Registration Forms for the 2014 Hook-In!!

Are you ready to join us this fall for our biennial day of rug hooking in the beautiful wine country of Northern California?
Registration forms are now available to download, print out and mail in. Be sure to reserve your spot at the hook-in soon. Click on the tab above this post to download and print out the form.
If you have any difficulty downloading the form, please contact our marketing coordinator, Marita, and she will help you get the form: maritasews@earthlink.net
We are also going to, once again, have a rug show so look through your rug basket and find one or two that you'd like to share with everyone. The rug show was a big hit at our last hook-in in 2012 and we'd love it if you were a part of it this year.
We look forward to seeing all you hookers this fall...

Save the Date; Harvest Hook-In 2014

WCRH will host its second Harvest Hook-In and Rug Show on October 25 in Petaluma ,California. Based on the the overwhelmingly positive response to its first such event in the fall of 2012, WCRH is inviting traditonal rug hooking enthusiasts  to join us in beautiful Sonoma County for a day of rug hooking, a rug show displaying participants' hooked pieces and much more. Further details of this event will be posted on this blog when plans are completed. But for now, Save the date: October 25, 2014.

A Fine Spring Rug Hook- In

In lieu of our regular Wine County Rug Hookers Guild meeting in May, we gathered for a 2 day Hook-In at a beautiful location in Sebastopol, California, not far from where we regularly meet. The much anticipated event offered the rare opporunity for total immersion in our craft: 2 days of uninterrpted rug hooking in lovely surroundings among good friends. Beautiful hand dyed wool and other rug hooking supplies were available for sale, provided  by several of the attending members who  also teach rug hooking and have studios in Northern California. All of the attendees reported  a wonderfully relaxing and productive weekend.  The Hook-In was such a success that the Guild is considering planning more such events in the future.

A Little Change in Our Regular Schedule...

Instead of our regular monthly meeting in Santa Rosa,  Wine Country Rug Hookers  will hold a two-day off-site Hook-In on  the weekend of April 13-14. We have been planning this event for some time and many of our members are looking forward to two days of  uninterrupted rug hooking.
Although we invite and encourage guests to our monthly meetings at the Friends  House in  Santa Rosa,  the off-site April Hook-In will be a members only event. We will resume our regular monthly meetings on the second Saturday of the month in May at Friends House.  We look forward to meeting any interested guests who may wish to join us at our May meeting.
